Happy 2009! With the new year comes a few changes in our house. John has been off of work for two weeks, and has been very busy during this last week with projects around the house. Basically, every room upstairs has been worked on. As we prepare for the new baby, we've been moving things around and getting rid of things. We have condensed the computer room and guest room into one room, with no more desks, and printers stashed in the closet (works pretty well). The old computer room is becoming Jacob's new room. We've already managed to move some of Jacob's things into his new room, but he's still sleeping in the nursery for now. And in our room, we've added some curtains and a television/entertainment center. Everything is still in transition mode, but we should be finished and Jacob will make his move to the big boy room in the next couple of weeks. Then we'll post pictures.
John and I have also ended this glorious two vacation with colds. Bummer. However, we had a great day doing a whole lot of nothing, and it was kind of nice after a couple weeks of traveling and home improvement craziness. The baby is very active (still) and loves it when I eat sweets. My movement is starting to get much more limited, and I am still going to physical therapy twice a week for my hip. Sometimes I think 11 weeks is forever, but then I think about how much there still is to do, and how calm our current schedule is, and I think 11 weeks is coming way too fast!
Here is a picture of Jacob's new favorite bath time activity. He got some tub crayons for Christmas, and now can spend 20+ minutes in the tub drawing away.
